e. Eligibility Criteria:
1. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
a. M-day Soldiers holding the rank of Master Sergeant/E8
b. M-day Soldiers holding the rank of SFC/E7 and meet TIG/TIS eligibility requirements for promotion to E8 and be on the current promotion list.
c. AGR Master Sergeants (MSG) in the VAARNG currently assigned in a E8 position within the JFHQ, TDA unit or higher headquarters in the chain of command are eligible to apply. AGR MSG if selected must obtain a TAG approved Command Leadership Waiver before being assigned to the position. AGR E7’s are not eligible to apply or eligible for promotion through the CLASP program as Per NGR 600-5 para 4-5(3)(d). All AGR applicants must include a signed memo of understanding from their full-time Officer in Charge (OIC).
d. Soldiers who are not qualified in the 88M MOS must become qualified within 12 months of assuming the position.
e. Must have a minimum of a Secret Security Clearance
f. Be a member or eligible to become a member of the VAARNG

a. Memorandum requesting consideration from Soldier.
b. ACFT/AFT results for the last three years (DA 705)
c. Height/weight certificate within 30 days from immediate commander. DA 5500/5501 if required.
d. MEDPROS printout indicating PHA is current.
e. Last three NCOERs
f. Verification of Security Clearance from MSC/Unit Security Manager.
g. Most recent DA 1059 indicating highest military education completed.
h. Copy of current ERB/SRB.
i. Letter of recommendation from chain of command. (optional)
