Course Scope: Trains personnel in leadership, ethics, professional development, communicative arts, personnel management, military history, employment, tactics, support, structure of the Army, and common military training.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A WARRANT OFFICER? 

The 183d RTI, Warrant Officer Candidate School at Fort Barfoot regularly hosts a Pre-Warrant Officer Candidate Course (PreWOC)
  • Any Soldier E-4 and above (or Aviation Candidates of any rank) can attend Pre-WOC in place of their unit drill (as directed by the AAG-A), with prior approval by their unit (Pre-WOC is a MUTA 5).
  •  Enrollment can be completed through ATRRS (School Code: 1020, Course: PWOCC) or by contacting the Warrant Officer Candidate School Course Manager.
  • ** All course correspondence will be sent to the Soldier's .mil address.
  • Completion of Pre-WOC is a prerequisite for any VaARNG Soldier to attend Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS).
  • Pre-WOC will give Soldiers an idea of what WOCS will be like at Fort Barfoot, VA or Fort Novosel, AL. Soldiers must be physically fit and mentally prepared for this course.
