REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet all selection criteria IAW ANGI 36-101 Chapter 5, AFI 36-2905, AFI 48-123.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, directs, controls, and oversees all elements of the Maintenance Group training program. Monitors OJT training needs, problems, and goals. Responsible for development, management and control of the Maintenance Technical Training and Career Development. Advises on critical or controversial training and training management issues which may arise, and provides solutions to these issues. Advises commanders, supervisors on training activities and ways to improve standards and to discuss their needs, problems, and goals. Inspects activities pertaining to training for compliance with policies and instructions on a periodic basis. Processes upgrade training, retraining, withdrawal from training, and related training actions for inputs into appropriate information data systems. Manages training data in computer based systems as required. Develops maintenance operating instructions (MOIs) and other training policy documents. Obtains data for Training Personnel Requirements (TPR); forecasts/budgets to identify Air Education and Training Command (AETC) or Mobile Training Team (MTT) requirements. Determines and establishes the type of training requirements for new systems and equipment based upon advance notice. Coordinates with Base Training on matters related to the scheduling of mandatory testing for CDC’s. Coordinates with sections related to conducting / scheduling or supporting training requirements. Develops and publishes monthly training schedules. Maintains student data including accountability for all Prior Service (PS) personnel and status of school dates. OPR and trainer for supervisors on the use of MyLearning, Air Force Training Record (AFTR), Military Personnel Data System (MILPDS). Reviews ARCNET as well as monitors progress of upgrade training, retraining, withdrawal from training, and related training actions for input into appropriate information data systems. Serves as the Maintenance Group POC for the Occupational Survey Program, Graduate Assessment Survey (GAS), and Field Evaluation Questionnaire (FEQ) programs. May be required to augment the Quality Assurance team WIT Team activity inspections as needed.

SPECIAL INFORMATION
1. The incumbent will participate with the unit of assignment during Regular Scheduled Drill (RSD) and annual training periods.
2. Except for mobilization or other emergency, member accepted for tour will not be subject VIRGINIA AIR NATIONAL GUARD STATEWIDE AGR VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT SPECIAL INFORMATION to permanent change of duty location without his/her consent. Retention in the program will be subject to continued satisfactory performance as determined by the supervisor and/or commander.
3. Individuals selected for AGR tours must meet the Preventative Health Assessment (PHA)/physical qualifications outlined in AFI 48-123, Medical Examination and Standards. They must also be current in all Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) requirements to include immunizations. RCPHA/PHA and dental must be conducted not more than 12 months prior to entry on AGR duty and an HIV test must be completed not more than six months prior to the start date of the AGR tour.
4. IAW ANGI 36-101, para 5.5. AGR Airmen are subject to the provisions of ANGI 10-248, Air National Guard (ANG) Fitness Program until superseded by AFI 36-2905, Fitness Program. Airmen must meet the minimum requirements for each fitness component in addition to scoring an overall composite of 75 or higher for entry into the AGR program. For members with a documented DLC which prohibits them from performing one or more components of the Fitness Assessment, an overall "Pass" rating is required.
5. Existing ANG promotion policies apply and grade ceilings established by ANGI 36-101.
6 At the option of supervisor/nominating official, applicants are subject to personal interview upon notification of time and place. Necessary travel is at applicant’s expense.
7. Airmen who voluntarily resigned from the AGR Program in lieu of adverse personnel actions, or who have been involuntarily separated from the AGR Program are not eligible to reenter the program. 8. All notifications of selection are conditional until verification of security clearance, medical clearance and HRO approval.
