Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger commends the Virginia National Guard during a legislative reception hosted by the Virginia National Guard Association Feb. 5, 2026, in Richmond, Virginia. Ring, the Adjutant General of Virginia. Prior to the reception, Williams addressed VNG leaders as part of the Adjutant General’s Distinguished Speaker Series, and Ring presented Wiliams a shell casing fired by the 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery Regiment during Spanberger’s inauguration in January.
