Virginia National Guard Child & Youth Program kicked off Month of the Military Child with an event March 28- 29, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. More than a dozen military children participated in the event, where they had the opportunity to skydive indoors, as well as learn about and experience science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics concepts. Every April, the Army National Guard Child and Youth Program proudly celebrates the Month of the Military Child - a time to recognize and honor the resilience, sacrifices, and contributions of military-connected children, according to the ARNCYS website.
