HENRICO, Va. - More than 30 Virginia National Guard Soldiers train on providing administrative and logistics support to a COVID-19 vaccination site March 1, 2021, at Richmond Raceway in Henrico County, Virginia. Approximately 250 Virginia National Guard Soldiers are conducting a two-week training period at multiple locations in Virginia to provide support to COVID-19 vaccination sites to enable widespread vaccination across the state, and the Virginia COVID-19 Unified Command will assign duty locations to the Soldiers when the training is complete. The Virginia Beach-based 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group is the mission command headquarters for vaccination site support, and Soldiers assigned to the 529th as well as other units from across the state are supporting the mission in a Title 32 federal orders status.
