Richmond, Virginia - Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, and Bob Slaughter, Jr., unveil a framed display honoring Roanoke native and D-Day veteran Sgt. Bob Slaughter during a ceremony dedicating the newly-built Virginia National Guard Headquarters in Sgt. Slaughter’s name Jan. 8, 2019 at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. The display features Sgt. Slaughter’s photo and biography along with a vintage 29th Infantry Division patch.
