Funeral Honors Program hosts training for active-duty Soldiers

Virginia Beach, Virginia - Staff Sgt. Jason Cain, senior instructor for the Virginia National Guard Funeral Honors Program, demonstrates the proper folding of a flag to active-duty Soldiers assigned to the Fort Eustis-based 7th Transportation Brigade April 21, 2021, at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Four Virginia Army National Guard Soldiers and one Maryland Army National Guard Soldier provided the five-day funeral honors training, which covered proper handling of the casket as pall bearers and properly folding and presenting the U.S. flag to the veteran’s next of kin.
