Virginia Defense Force conducts statewide readiness exercise

WARRENTON, Va. - Members of a Virginia Defense Force incident management assistance team train Oct. 2, 2021, in Warrenton, Virginia, during Highland Guardian 21. HG 21 is a statewide readiness exercise to test the VDF�s regional liaison, incident management assistance, access control and interoperable communications support capabilities. VDF personnel providing incident management assistance employ tactical communication packages used for internet connectivity to operate web-based systems like Web Emergency Operations Center, or WebEOC, used to track missions during response operations.
