Jumper promoted to brigadier general, takes command of Va. Air National Guard

Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. - Col. Catherine M. Jumper, former director of air operations on the Virginia National Guard joint staff, promotes to brigadier general at a ceremony on Nov. 6, 2022, at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. Her father, retired Gen. John P. Jumper, the 17th Chief of Staff of the Air Force, presided over the ceremony. Newly promoted Brig. Gen. Jumper will succeed retired Brig. Gen. Toni M. Lord as the VNG Air Component Commander.
