Locust Dale, Virginia - Virginia National Guard Soldiers from the Charlottesville-based Company A, 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team assist with planting 200 Rising Sun Redbud trees to honor fallen Civil War soldiers in support of the Living Legacy Tree Planting Project April 12, 2015, in Locust Dale, Va. The tree planting is part of the Journey Through Hallowed Ground Partnership is honoring each of the 620,000 soldiers who fell during the Civil War by planting and dedicating one tree for each Union and Confederate solder and geotagging the tree with their name, place of birth and where they died to share the story of their life with the goal of creating a National Memorial for the Civil War Fallen. The trees were planted on the property where Lt. Gen. Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson’s troops crossed on their way to the Battle of Cedar Mountain in 1862. Col. William J.
