ABINGDON, Va. - Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Gate City-based 1032nd Transportation Company, 1030th Transportation Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group use chain saws to clear debris in the wake of Hurricane Helene Oct. 3, 2024, in Damascus, Virginia. The Soldiers cleared 15 trees as well as debris from flood waters like fences and porches
