Weidner to succeed Lange as commander of 192nd Wing

RICHMOND, Va. - Col. Andrew M. Weidner will succeed Col. Brock E. Lange as the commander of the Virginia Air National Guard’s 192nd Wing at Joint Base Langley Eustis in Hampton, Virginia, according to an announcement made Feb. 25, 2025, by Maj. Gen. James W. Ring, the Adjutant General of Virginia. The projected effective assignment date is Sept. 6, 2025, and details for a change of command ceremony will be announced in the coming months. Weidner to succeed Lange as commander of 192nd Wing. Weidner is currently the commander of the 192nd Operations Group which is comprised of the 149th Fighter Squadron, 192nd Operation Support Squadron, 185th Cyberspace Operations Squadron, 192nd Intelligence Squadron and 200th Weather Flight. He is responsible for ensuring the readiness of 300 National Guard Airmen in more than 18 Air Force specialty codes.
