FORT PICKETT, Virginia - Virginia National Guard Soldiers are recognized as new inductees into the Order of St. George during the inactivation ceremony for the Portsmouth-based 2nd Squadron, 183rd Cavalry Regiment, 116th Mobile Brigade Combat Team, Aug. 13, 2026, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The recognition honored their service and contributions to the cavalry community as generations of troopers gathered to celebrate the squadron’s history, traditions and esprit de corps.
