Moyer, Bustillo named Virginia National Guard Best NCO, Soldier

Fort Pickett, Virginia - Sgt. Jake Moyer and Spc. Miguel Bustillo are announced as the winners of this year’s Virginia National Guard Best Warrior Competition Feb. 25, 2018, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Moyer, assigned to 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, was named the top noncommissioned officer in the state as well as the best warrior with the highest overall score of all competitors. Bustillo, assigned to 134th Cyber Security Company, 91st Cyber Brigade, earned the top Soldier ranking. Both Soldiers will go on to compete in the regional match in May against Soldiers from five other states including West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
