WHO MAY APPLY: Open to all AGR/Military Technician/Traditional/ Active Duty Soldiers of any Armed Forces in the grades of E-6/SSG through E-7/SFC who are members of any Army National Guard or able to meet the prerequisites to become members of the Virginia Army National Guard.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet all selection criteria IAW AR 40-501, AR 135-18, AR 600-8-2, AR 600-8-22, AR 600-9, AR 600-60, NGR 600-5, NGR 600-200, and NGR 601-1.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: An On Campus Recruiter (OCR) in the Recruiting and Retention Battalion is a vital position to the overall success of yearly production and end strength requirements. OCRs will maintain a numerical production mission. This requires lead generation activities on campus throughout the school year, conducting pre-qualification and interviews to determine eligibility, and preparing applicant packets for processing through Military Entrance Processing Station. OCRs will work directly with the College or University’s ROTC program to facilitate their acceptance and standing as an integral part of campus life. OCRs can fill multiple roles within their ROTC program. These roles include but are not limited to liaison, instructor, and assistant to the Recruiting Operations Officer, scholarship management, and mentor. The relationship between OCR and ROTC Cadre is vital to both determine ROTC requirements and overall success of the OCR. Selected candidate will foster relationships with personnel in the registrar’s office, financial aid, student activities, student life, athletics, and facilities. OCRs will also perform the additional duties of SMP management and training. This will include being an SME on all potential SMP paths including all Reserve Force Duty scholarship options and non-scholarship options. OCR will conduct Briefs multiple times throughout the school year to ensure all ROTC participants or interested students understand their options and requirements. OCRs will track their assigned SMPs throughout the year administratively. OCRs will prepare for and conduct training of assigned SMPs monthly on drill weekends. OCRs will drill monthly with their assigned SMPs at RSP locations.

SPECIAL INFORMATION
• Applicant must have completed SQI4 and have the Strength Maintenance Senior Badge.
• If applicant is coming from another component, Active Duty or Reserve Component they must have two years of successful recruiting experience.
• Applicant cannot have had a duty station move in the past 12 months or a cost PCS move in the past 24 months.
• The start date is contingent on availability of funding from NGB.

1. Completed NGB Form 34-1 (signed and dated).
2. Copies of last five consecutive NCOERs and all DA Form 1059s. If less than three NCOERs you must submit a letter of recommendation from your COMMANDER.
3. Current Certified or Validated copy of Officer Record Brief (ERB).
4. Current Medical Protection System Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) Record accessible through AKO, dated within the last 12 months to be valid. Must have a valid HIV test within 6 months of start date.
5. Last 3 years of DTMS APFT history or DA Form 705 cards and DTMS HT/WT history printout or DA Form 5500/5501 (include all DA Forms 3349 if applicable).
6. HRR Form 600 Recruiting and Training Cadre Suitability Questionnaire.
7. Documentation to support all periods of duty/service creditable for retirement. Any of the following may be used DD Form 214, DA Form 1506 or NGB Forms 23A/23B.
8. Any additional information the applicant may wish to submit for consideration (i.e., Letters of Recommendation, awards, certificates, degrees, etc.).
9. If fully vaccinated, copy of CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card.
