529th CSSB

1. This vacancy announcement is for the position of Battalion Commander.
a. Projected Fill date: on or about 1 February 2025.
b. Unit Where Vacancy Exists: HHC 529th CSSB, 231 C Ave, SMR, Virginia Beach, VA 23451 (WX6SAA)
c. Female Assignment Eligibility: Yes
d. Position Area of Concentration (AOC): 90A (Logistics)
e. Eligibility Criteria:
(1) Military Technicians, ADOS, and M-Day are eligible to apply. AGR Officers are also eligible to apply, however, if selected must be granted a command leadership waiver.
(2) Must have a minimum of a Secret Security Clearance or be eligible for an “Interim” Clearance as determined by the VaARNG State Security Manager (SSM).
(3) Must be Intermediate Level Education (ILE) Common Core complete.
(4) Open to Soldiers in the Virginia Army National Guard in the grade of O5/LTC or O4/MAJ eligible for promotion upon selection to the position.
(5) Must be a member of the Virginia Army National Guard or eligible to become a member of the Virginia Army National Guard. Selected Officer will be required to complete an Interstate Transfer (IST) if accepted from outside of the VaARNG.

f. Verification of security clearance from the State Security Manager (SSM)

h. Civilian Resume or Curriculum Vitae (optional)
i. Any Additional Information (optional)

3. Membership: Applicants are required to serve in the Army National Guard of the United States and, if selected, must transfer to the Virginia National Guard. If not
already a member of the Virginia National Guard, the selected applicant must submit an Interstate Transfer (IST) packet within 15-days of selection.
