WHO MAY APPLY: Open to all AGR/Military Technician/Traditional/Air Guard, Active-Duty personnel of any Armed Forces. Soldiers in the grades of E-6/SSG who are members of the Virginia Army National Guard. If you are not a member of any National Guard; you must meet the prerequisites to be become a member of the Virginia Army National Guard.

Special Note: This is an E6/SSG position. BLC/WLC or equivalent, must be completed to prior to promotion and verification of attendance must be included with your packet. Those without BLC/WLC complete will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must be able to attend the next available BLC course.
Applicant must have completed SQ14 and have at least the Strength Maintenance Senior Badge; Expert Badge preferred.
Must have completed Suitability screening.
If Applicant is coming from another component, Active Duty or Reserve Component they must have two years of successful recruiting experience.
Applicant cannot have had a duty station in the past 12 months, or a cost PCS move in the past 24 months.
Applicant must demonstrate the ability to pass ACFT, meet height/weight standards, and present a professional and military appearance. Applicant cannot be currently flagged.
Applicant must understand promotions will be on EPS list.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet all selection criteria IAW NGR 601-1, NGR 600-200, NGR 600-5, AR 600-60, AR 40-501, AR 600-8-2 and AR 135-18.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: An On Campus Recruiter (OCR) in the Recruiting and Retention Battalion is a vital position to the overall success of yearly production and end strength requirements. OCRs will maintain a numerical production mission. This requires lead generation activities on campus throughout the school year, conducting pre-qualification and interviews to determine eligibility, and preparing applicant packets for processing through the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). OCRs will work directly with the College or University’s ROTC program to facilitate their acceptance and standings as an integral part of campus life. OCRs can fill multiple roles within their ROTC Programs. These roles include but are not limited to liaison, instructor, and assistant to the Recruiting Operations Officer, scholarship management, and mentor. The relationship between OCR and ROTC Cadre is vital to both determine ROTC requirements and overall success of the OCR. Selected candidate will foster relationships with personnel in the registrar’s office, financial aid, student activities, student life, athletics, and facilities. OCRs will also perform the additional duties of SMP management and training. This will include being an SME on all potential SMP paths including all Reserve Force Duty Scholarship options and non-scholarship options. OCRs will track their assigned SMPs throughout the year administratively. OCRs will prepare for and conduct training of assigned SMPs monthly on drill weekends. SECURITY CLEARANCE: Position requires a “SECRET” security clearance. Must be able to obtain as a minimum, an “interim” clearance prior to appointment to the position. Soldiers with a prior revoked or denied clearance are not eligible for either an interim or a waiver and should not apply. If tentatively selected for a position and soldier cannot be granted an interim clearance prior to appointment to the position, the offer for the position maybe revoked, Non-USA citizens are not eligible for a security clearance per DOD 5200.2R.

4. Current Medical Protection System Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) Record accessible through MODS, dated within the last 12 months to be valid.
5. Last 3 years of DTMS APFT history or DA Form 705 cards and DTMS HT/WT history printout or DA Form 5500/5501 (include all DA Forms 3349 if applicable). IPPS-A screen shots of APFT and HT/WT information are authorized.
6. Geographical Preference Sheet.
7. Completed DD 369 Form (Police Record Check).
8. HRR Form 600 Recruiting and Training Cadre Suitability Questionnaire.
9. Documentation to support all periods of duty/service creditable for retirement. Any of the following may be used DD Form 214, DA Form 1506 or NGB Forms 23A/23B. 10. Any additional information the applicant may wish to submit for consideration (i.e., Letters of Recommendation, awards, certificates, degrees, etc.).
