Personnel in grades E4/SPC- E5/SGT who are members of the Virginia Army National
Guard (VAARNG) or eligible to become members of the VAARNG.

SPECIAL INFORMATION
• Applicants must be eligible to complete 20 years of Active Federal Service before their
MRD or Age 60.
• Soldier must be MOS Qualified or eligible to attend MOS-T course within 1 year of hire.

• Must have a passing ACFT and Height & Weight within 6 months of the submission of your
application. Soldier selected for this position who do not meet the above mentioned ACFT

• Applicant must possess or be able to possess a secret clearance and maintain
government travel card.

• Automated Logistical Specialist (92A) must possess the following qualifications:
o A physical demands rating of Significant (Grey)

• A minimum score of 95 in aptitude in area CL on Armed Services Vocational aptitude Battery (ASVAB) tests administered prior to 2 January 2002.
• A minimum score of 92 in aptitude area CL on ASVAB tests administered on and after 2 January 2002 and prior to 1 July 2004.
•A minimum score of 90 in aptitude area CL on ASVAB tests administered on and after 1 July 2004.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet all selection criteria IAW NGR 601-1, NGR 600-200, NGR 600-5, AR 600-60, AR 40-501, AR 600-8-2 and AR 135-18.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews and processes enlisted discharges IAW the regulation and NGB policy. Initiates and reviews IPPS-A transactions such as orders for transfers within your MSC, DPOS, & awarding military occupational specialty through IPPS-A. You will be reviewing and processing awards IAW AR 600-8-22. Processing personnel and administrative documents in the Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS); which may require you to initiate an action in IPPS-A. In some cases you would be required to develop and draft unit training schedules and input data into Digital Training Management Systems (DTMS) for approval IAW with command guidance and directives. Prepare reports for the units using IPPS-A. Advises enlisted personnel on military education requirements and prepares applications for Army service schools. Processes extensions on Retention Management System (RMS). Review and submit extension waivers to G1 using the IPPS-A routing portal. Advises Commander or OIC on personnel administration actions, performs quality assurance and other duties assigned to accomplish the mission.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Position requires a “SECRET” security clearance. Must be able to obtain as a minimum, an “interim” clearance prior to appointment to the position. Soldiers with a prior revoked or denied clearance are not eligible for either an interim or a waiver and should not apply. If tentatively selected for a position and soldier cannot be granted an interim clearance prior to appointment to the position, the offer for the position maybe revoked, Non-USA citizens are not eligible for a security clearance per DOD 5200.2R.

2. Copies of last five consecutive NCOERs and all DA Form 1059s. Enlisted personnel that do not have five NCOERs must submit a letter of recommendation form the first O3 in their chain of command.
3. Current Certified or Validated copy of Enlisted Record Brief (ERB).
4. Current Medical Protection System Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) Record accessible through MODS, dated within the last 12 months to be valid.
5. Last 3 years of DTMS APFT history or DA Form 705 cards and DTMS HT/WT
history printout or DA Form 5500/5501 (include all DA Forms 3349 if applicable). IPPS-A screen shots of APFT and HT/WT information are authorized.
6. Documentation to support all periods of duty/service creditable for retirement. Any of the following may be used DD Form 214, DA Form 1506 or NGB Forms 23A/23B.
7. Any additional information the applicant may wish to submit for consideration (i.e., Letters of Recommendation, awards, certificates, degrees, etc.).
