Enlisted personnel in grades E7/SFC who are members of the Virginia Army National
Guard.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet all selection criteria IAW AR 40-501, AR 670-1,
AR 135-18, AR 600-8-2, AR 600-60, NGR 600-5, NGR 600-200, and NGR 601-1.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
• Applicants must be eligible to complete 20 years of Active Federal Service before their MRD or Age 60.
• Soldier must be MOS Qualified or eligible to attend MOS-T course within 1 year of hire.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Readiness NCO performs full-time oversight and management of all unit day-to-day operations, is an advisor to the commander, and oversees and ensures the commander's programs and concepts of operation are executed appropriately. The Readiness NCO prepares spending plans, submits payroll, manages the unit management report, prepares drill letters, and oversees recruiting and retention plans. The Readiness NCO performs all duties associated with unit readiness, including planning and organizing training, managing training schedules, managing school enrollments, scheduling physical fitness, and other required tests. The Readiness NCO will be familiar with military systems such as MyUnitPay, AFAM, ATRRS, IPERMS, IPPS-A, G1 Portal, DAMPS, DTMS, and DTS. The Readiness NCO will also serve the duty of a Field Artillery Platoon Sergeant. Responsible for 39 Soldiers in an M119A3 howitzer battery. Supervises the firing platoon, maintains firing capability, and organizes platoon defense; accountable for all aspects of training; ensures safe practices are observed to include proper firing commands, safe firing data, proper ammunition distribution, handling, and storage; enforces proper accountability of $10,000,000 worth of equipment and supervises the overall maintenance of 13 wheeled vehicles, three M119A3 howitzers, and associated equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

5.Last 3 years of DTMS APFT history or DA Form 705 cards and or DTMS HT/WT history printout or HT/WT statement DA Form 5500/5501 (include all DA Forms 3349 if applica- ble).
6.Documentation to support all periods of duty/service creditable for retirement. Any of the following may be used DD Form 214, DA Form 1506 or NGB Forms 23A/23B.
7.Any additional information the applicant may wish to submit for consideration (i.e., Letters of Recommendation, awards, certificates, degrees, etc.).
