SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT: This announcement is for an Active Duty for Operational Support (ADOS) position at the 34th CBRNE Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP).
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Open to all Military Technician/Traditional personnel in the grades of O1/2LT – O3/CPT who are members of the Virginia Army National Guard.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet all selection criteria IAW NGR 601-1, NGR 600-200,
NGR 600-5, AR 600-60, AR 40-501, AR 600-8-2 and AR 135-18.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Operations Officer for the 34th CERFP is responsible for writing warning, operations and
fragmentary orders during the orders production process. Oversees Command and Control (C2) Section. Responsible for assuming the duties for the Deputy Commander (DCO) when the DCO is absent from unit and conducts interface with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies as required. Synchronizing force modernization upgrades for new equipment training (NET) and fielding (NEF). Maintaining short-range and long-range planning calendars to synchronize operations of subordinate units. Serves as the Commander’s principal staff officer for matters concerning operations, plans and training during garrison and tactical operations.
Facilities the allocation of training resources; weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual synchronization meetings. Manages the CERFP MARRS-N, JILLIS, DTS, DTMS, RFMS and DRRS-S products/systems. Manages mission rotation planning. Analyzes the project development cycles for units assigned to the CERFP and make recommendations to the DCO on how to replace, prepare, and validate new teams with minimal impact to mission readiness.
Coordinate the collection of readiness metrics, updating the AG’s office and liaison. Manage the Tactical Operations Center (TOC) during collective training events. Coach, mentor and teach subordinates and peers. Coordinate with CBRNE Response Enterprise (CRE) elements within
the Region, across the CRE and NGB. May perform other duties as specified by the Commander.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Experience working with CBRNE or Hazardous Materials.
b. Experience in working with Incident Command System (ICS).
c. BN or BDE Operations Experience.
d. Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
e. Comfortable interacting with various NGO, other GO agencies and sister services.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
1. Must be a member of the Virginia Army National Guard.
2. Member must possess outstanding appearance, military bearing, and conduct with no history of disciplinary action.
3. Applicants must not have any permanent medical profiles.
4. Must have a valid Secret Security Clearance.
5. Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Must possess a valid Government Credit Card or be able to obtain one prior to report date.
7. Must obtain and maintain all individual training and certification requirements as
prescribed in the Yearly Individual Training Matrix (ITRM), including but not limited to,
Incident Command System (ICS) IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800).
8. CERFP Members are required to maintain a response time of six (6) hours 24/7/365
availability to respond to a no-notice alert IAW state and national response requirements.
9. Promotion opportunity is limited by funding availability.
10. Must have a passing ACFT and Height & Weight within 6 months of the submission of
your application. Soldier selected for this position who do not meet the above mentioned
ACFT and Height & Weight requirement will need to complete an ACFT and Height &
Weight prior to receiving a start date.
11. At the option of supervisor/nominating official, applicants are subject to personal interview
upon notification of time and place. Necessary travel is at applicant’s expense.

clearance and HRO approval. A current suspension of favorable personnel actions or
required to be under suspension.
