Armed Forces Soldiers in grades E4/SPC through E5/SGT who are members of the
Virginia Army National Guard or able to become members of Virginia Army National
Guard.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
• Applicants must be eligible to complete 20 years of Active Federal Service before
their MRD or Age 60.
• Soldier must be MOS Qualified or eligible to attend MOS-T course within 1 year
of hire.

• Applicant must possess or be able to possess a secret clearance and maintain
government travel card.
• The start date is contingent on availability of funding from NGB.
• Network Communications Systems Specialist (25H) must possess the following
qualifications:
• A physical demands rating of Moderate (Gold)
• A physical profile of 212221
• Qualifying scores
• A minimum score of 100 in aptitude area EL and 102 in area ST
as of 202406
• Must have a passing ACFT/AFT and Height & Weight within 6 months of the
submission of your application. Soldier selected for this position who do not meet the above mentioned ACFT/AFT and Height & Weight requirement will need to complete an ACFT and Height & Weight prior to receiving a start date.
• Individuals must not be under Suspension of Favorable Personnel Actions (Flag).
• Must not be within six (6) months of mandatory removal or Expiration Term of Service (ETS).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet all selection criteria IAW AR 40-501, AR 135-18, AR 600-8-2, AR 600-60, NGR 600-5, NGR 600-200, and NGR 601-1.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews and processes enlisted discharges IAW the regulation and NGB policy. Initiates and reviews IPPS-A transactions such as orders for transfers within your MSC, DPOS, & awarding military occupational specialty through IPPS-A. You will be reviewing and processing awards IAW AR 600-8-22. Processing personnel and administrative documents in the Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS); which may require you to initiate an action in IPPS-A. In some cases you would be required to develop and draft unit training schedules and input data into Digital Training Management Systems (DTMS) for approval IAW with command guidance and directives. Prepare reports for the units using IPPS-A. Advises enlisted personnel on military education requirements and prepares applications for Army service schools. Processes extensions on Retention Management System (RMS). Review and submit extension waivers to G1 using the IPPS-A routing portal. Advises Commander or OIC on personnel administration actions, performs quality assurance and other duties assigned to accomplish the mission.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Position requires a “SECRET” security clearance. Must be able to obtain as a minimum, an “interim” clearance prior to appointment to the position. Soldiers with a prior revoked or denied clearance are not eligible for either an interim or a waiver and should not apply. If tentatively selected for a position and soldier cannot be granted an interim clearance prior to appointment to the position, the offer for the position maybe revoked, Non-USA citizens are not eligible for a security clearance per DOD 5200.2R.

2.Copies of last five consecutive NCOERs and all DA Form 1059s. If you do not have five years of NCOER history, letters of recommendation need to be submitted.

4.Current Medical Protection System Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) Record accessible through MODS, dated within the last 6 months to be valid.
5.Last 3 years of DTMS ACFT/AFT history or DA Form 705 cards and DTMS HT/WT history printout or DA Form 5500/5501 (include all DA Forms 3349 if applicable).
6.Documentation to support all periods of duty/service creditable for retirement. Any of the following may be used DD Form 214, DA Form 1506 or NGB Forms 23A/23B.
7.Any additional information the applicant may wish to submit for consideration (i.e., Letters of Recommendation, awards, certificates, degrees, etc.).
