BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as the key training and development authority within the squadron, responsible for building and sustaining a mission-ready recruiting force. This position develops and manages all recruiter training programs, including onboarding, in-field training, and specialized instruction for all assigned Recruiters. The Training NCO ensures new recruiters receive comprehensive field instruction through the Recruiter Initial In-Field Training Guide and provides hands-on AFRISS-TF training for accurate documentation of training activities. The role includes coordinating the Recruiter Transition Program (RTP) for enlisted accessions, advising leadership on training compliance and suspense items, and ensuring all Recruiters attend required workshops as applicable. The trainer also prepares and delivers Monthly Training Status Reports (TSRs), detailing squadron training metrics, recruiter progression, and compliance status for submission to flight leadership. Serving as the Additional Duty Unit Training Manager (ADUTM), the squadron and host base education/training sections, the trainer ensures adherence to AFI 36-2670 guidance and facilitates training support for all personnel. The position reviews and assesses recruiter relief actions, evaluates production performance data to identify training gaps, and helps shape quarterly training agendas to maintain high training standards. Additional responsibilities include coordinating supplemental training, implementing in-processing checklists to address unit-specific requirements, and tracking shadow training opportunities. The trainer encourages use of Behavior and Talent Insights (BTI) assessments to enhance recruiter coaching and communication effectiveness.
Serves as the 192 Recruiting Assistant Flight Chief supports the Flight Chief in managing daily operations, mentoring recruiters, and ensuring mission success across the assigned flight. They assist in supervising recruiter performance, tracking production metrics, and implementing strategic initiatives to meet accession goals. The Assistant Flight Chief helps coordinate training, evaluates compliance with recruiting standards and procedures, and serves as a liaison between recruiters and higher headquarters. Additionally, they provide leadership, guidance, and support to resolve challenges, enhance team cohesion, and maintain a high standard of professionalism and effectiveness within the flight.
Serves as the Alternate Retention Office Manager (ROM) responsible for assisting in the administration and execution of the Air Force retention program at the unit level. Supports the

primary ROM in managing retention initiatives, processing reenlistments and extensions, counseling members on retention benefits and options, and ensuring compliance with current policies and guidance. Coordinates with commanders, first sergeants, and career assistance advisors to promote force retention and readiness. Maintains accurate records, tracks key retention metrics, and helps identify trends to support informed decision-making. Performs all duties in the absence of the primary ROM to ensure continuity of operations.
Serves as the Alternate Marketing NCO, assists in decentralized marketing operations within the unit and supports Total Force marketing initiatives when available. This role collaborates with other Total Force units and specialties within a shared area of responsibility (AOR) and provides supplemental marketing training to unit recruiters. Primary duties include the development, execution, and evaluation of the unit’s annual decentralized marketing plan. The Marketing NCO monitors performance metrics and analyzes marketing effectiveness quarterly using AFRISS-TF, mobile data capture, field validation, and related tools. This analysis informs planning, drives continuous improvement, and supports strategic alignment with unit goals. The NCO is responsible for submitting all annual plans, quarterly updates, and fund execution reports to NGB, maintaining documentation for a minimum of five years. As the unit’s liaison to NGB and AFRS, the Marketing NCO coordinates participation in national-level events and those involving national assets or general officers. They ensure appropriate use of marketing tools and platforms, including the Total Force Marketing Management Tool (TFMMT), and are responsible for uploading all locally developed marketing assets. The Marketing NCO advises the Flight Commander and Production Superintendent on marketing strategies and resource utilization. They collaborate with leadership for input and approval on key initiatives, including the annual marketing plan and quarterly Business Challenge submissions. They also identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership, ensuring the effective and efficient use of marketing funds to achieve the highest return on investment
Maintains a goal as a Production Recruiter and is responsible for identifying, interviewing, and enlisting qualified applicants into the Air Force or Air National Guard to meet assigned accession goals. They manage the applicant’s journey from initial contact through enlistment, ensuring all documentation, testing, and medical requirements are met. Additionally, the recruiter maintains accurate records in AFRISS-TF, builds relationships with key influencers, and represents the Air Force brand in a professional and engaging manner to attract top talent.
Performs all other duties assigned by Flight leadership.

SPECIAL INFORMATION
1. Must have a minimum of 12 months of experience as a 8R000/3G071
2. Except for mobilization or other emergency, member accepted for tour will not be subject to permanent change of duty location without his/her consent. Retention in the program will be subject to continued satisfactory performance as determined by the supervisor and/or commander.
3. Individuals selected for AGR tours must meet the Preventative Health Assessment (PHA)/physical qualifications outlined in AFI 48-123, Medical Examination and Standards. They must also be current in all Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) requirements to include immunizations. RCPHA/PHA and dental must be conducted not more than 12 months prior to entry on AGR duty.
4. IAW ANGI 36-101, para 5.5. AGR Airmen are subject to the provisions of ANGI 10-248, Air National Guard (ANG) Fitness Program until superseded by AFI 36-2905, Fitness Program. Airmen must meet the minimum requirements for each fitness component in addition to scoring an overall composite of 75 or higher for entry into the AGR program. For members with a documented DLC which prohibits them from performing one or more components of the Fitness Assessment, an overall "Pass" rating is required.
5. Existing ANG promotion policies apply, and grade ceilings established by ANGI 36-101.
6. At the option of supervisor/nominating official, applicants are subject to personal interview upon notification of time and place. Necessary travel is at applicant’s expense. 7. Airmen who voluntarily resigned from the AGR Program in lieu of adverse personnel actions, or who have been involuntarily separated from the AGR Program are not eligible to reenter the program.
8. All notifications of selection are conditional until verification of security clearance, medical clearance and HRO approval.
9. Retention in the program will be subject to continued satisfactory performance as determined by the supervisor and/or commander.
10. Must maintain outstanding appearance, military bearing and high standards of conduct IAW AFI 36-2903 and AFI 36-2905 standards.
11. Must possess a valid state/territory driver's license to operate government motor vehicles.
12. No record of disciplinary action (Letter of Reprimand [LOR] or Article 15) for committing acts of malpractice or misconduct or engaging in an unprofessional or inappropriate relationship as defined in AFI 36-2909, or documented failures (LOR or Article 15) to exercise sound leadership principles with respect to morale or welfare of subordinates.
13. Member will need to be medically cleared before starting in the position.
