2023 Veterans Day Message

Team Virginia,

As our Nation and Commonwealth pause to celebrate Veterans Day, let us reflect on the generations that came before us, who served to gain and protect the freedoms we enjoy: Life - Liberty - Peace - Justice - Prosperity - Tranquility.

It is the generational service of men and women in uniform, who serve not on behalf of themselves, but on behalf of the freedom of others, that we enjoy these liberties. It is the Citizen Soldier and Airmen who readily answers the call to be, "Always Ready, Always There!"

So on this Veterans Day, thank a veteran for their service. For those of you who wear the uniform, thank you for your service and extend our thanks to your family members and employers for their support. Without them, we could not do the work that we do in service to our Commonwealth and Nation. Inspire others to service. For it will be the next generation of service members who preserves the freedoms that we enjoy today.
