Process
Any individual meeting the criteria can refer candidates, known as “Leads” to the Virginia National Guard Recruiters for enlistment into the National Guard for an incentive of no less than one-thousand -dollars ($1000.00)
• Step 1: Review and fill out the Service Contract
• Step 2: Review and fill out the IRS W-9
• Step 3: Email both documents to
VirginiaNationalGuardReferralEnlistmentProgram@army.mil
• Step 4: Meet with a recruiter (in person or local) to submit a Lead
• Step 5: Submit your EFT info through the mail
• Step 6: Get paid
The Incentive
A monetary incentive of no less than one-thousand-dollars ($1,000) incentive paid in up to two installments to a PDC when the following benchmarks are met:
The initial fifty percent will be paid to the PDC for each documented lead who signs a VNG enlistment contract provided to a VNG recruiter.
The remaining fifty percent will be paid once the lead successfully meets one of the following criteria:
The completion of IADT for new recruits and VAARNG recruits with prior un-qualified service.
The completion of BCT/BMT for new recruits who are eligible and participate in the Split Training Option.
The completion of Technical Training for VAANG prior service enlistees.
The signing of an ROTC contract after the recruit has enlisted in the VAARNG.
One hundred percent will be paid upon enlistment for recruits who possess qualified prior service in either the United States Armed Forces or the VNG, or who are already under contract with ROTC at the time of enlistment.

Basic Eligibility Requirements to become a Soldier within the Virginia Army National Guard
Be between the ages of 17 and 35
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
Achieve a minimum score on the ASVAB test
Meet medical, physical and moral requirements
Basic Eligibility Requirements to become an Airman within the Virginia Air National Guard
Be between the ages of 17 and 42
Be a legal resident
Be at least a senior in high school, or have a high school diploma or equivalency
Must pass the entrance exam, medical screening, and a background check
Have you previously served in the military? Prior Service requirements
Age: Must qualify for non-regular retired pay by age 60
Physical: Must meet height/weight and current medical requirements
Education: Must meet education standards for the MOS or option for which you enlist
Background: Must have most current DD 214, NGB22 or discharge order and have an approved DD Form 368 Conditional Release
