RICHMOND, Va. –
The 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute Warrant Officer Candidate School is hosting a Pre-Warrant Officer Candidate Course Sept. 6-8, 2024, at Fort Barfoot, Virginia. Completion of Pre-WOC is a pre-requisite for any Virginia Army National Guard Soldier to attend Warrant Officer Candidate School.
Pre-WOC will give Soldiers an idea of what WOCS will be like at Fort Pickett or Fort Rucker, Alabama. Soldiers must be physically fit and mentally prepared for this course.
Any Soldier in the rank of E4 and above or aviation candidates of any rank can attend Pre-WOC in lieu of their unit drill with prior approval of their unit chain of command. Report time is Friday evening, Sept. 6 and runs through end of the day on Sunday, Sept. 8. Soldiers are provided food and lodging at no cost throughout the entire weekend by 183rd RTI.
