Annual retirement briefing scheduled for Sept. 10

The Virginia Army National Guard G1 Personnel Directorate Retirement Services Office will hold the annual retirement briefing Sept. 10, 2022, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The briefing is open to anyone but is highly recommended for Soldiers with 18 or more years of service, and spouses are welcome to attend. Seating is limited, and slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The briefing begins at 8 a.m. at the 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute Auditorium located at 2100 East Parade Avenue on Fort Pickett in Blackstone, Virginia. The event will last the entire day and will provide information from vendors such as Veterans Administration Transition, Tricare, Social Security and more. Interested personal and spouses need to be signed up via VKO  at https://vko.va.ngb.army.mil/army/g1/SitePages/ARB.aspx or by emailing the RSO mailbox at ng.va.vaarng.mbx.rso@army.mil. Spouses attending are eligible for 75% per diem to cover meals and will need to bring social security number and banking information to receive the payment. Soldiers will be attending in a volunteer basis. A roster will be kept for Units who want to give constructive credit to attending Soldiers.
